"There are exceptions to every rule." Unfortunately,  one Alabama principal chose the wrong rule to make an exception.

According to ABC 33/40,  Ragland High School Principal Roy Bliss was removed from the high school for telling a gun carrying student to take the gun home.  His error was in not reporting the incident to police.

Most of us have been in positions where we probably should have "told on" someone who did wrong but chose not to for one reason or another.  If I was in Bliss's shoes,  I may not have reported the student,  simply based on the fact that the school year is practically over. No sense in creating controversy if the student complied.  Then again,  rules are rules.

What do you about this case?  What would you have done?
