Happy Father’s Day to the Men in My Life
Since becoming a mom, I've become more aware of the importance of fathers in the lives of children. I was raised in a single parent household and didn't really see the effects thereof until I became a single parent.
Luckily, not many people sent me "Happy Father's Day" messages today, as they know my view on single parenthood. I'm a mother, plain and simple. Not a mother and a father; just a mother.
My parents divorced when I was young, and I grew up without a father for the most part. My dad and I have always had a pretty good relationship, but it was more of a friendship. Yet and still, I honor him as my father; and I make no hesitation to honor my brothers for the roles they play in the lives of MY daughter as well as their own children.
I created this video two years ago, and we've since added two little men to the family, but I still honor the fathers in my life today and every day.
These little fellas joined us in April, just two days apart.
And Tee-Tee's Rylee-boo was born in July 2014.
Looks like I'll be making a new video soon.
