Silly Saturdays Headed to Aliceville

Comedian Steve Brown has the longest running weekly comedy series in the Southeast, and now, he's expanding and taking the show on the road.

The first weekend in August, Shawty Shawty will be the headliner at Funny First Friday at Archibald and Woodrow's; and the following day, the show will take place at the Aliceville Theater!

Those from the Aliceville area, the rest of Pickens County, and surrounding areas won't  have to travel so far anymore for great comedy. Now, following every Funny First Friday is Silly Saturday at the Aliceville Theater!

What does this mean for the area?  Economic growth, of course. It may be a small imprint, but more people will be looking for something to wear, attendees will ALWAYS find something to eat before or after the show, and those who drive into Aliceville for the show just might have to get some gas or snacks before making the trip home.

A few years ago, a federal prison was placed just outside the Aliceville city limits; and more fast food establishments are being sustained, which means more money is being spent locally. This is just one more step in the right direction. Be on the lookout for Silly Saturdays, following every Funny First Friday!
