3.0 Earthquake Hits West Alabama Saturday Afternoon

If you tell me there was an earthquake in California, New Mexico, and Mexico or out west some where I would believe you.

We don’t get earthquakes in Alabama, do we? The answer is yes we do.

I didn’t realize it, but we have had five earthquakes in the area since November 2014 with the strongest being a 3.8 magnitude 11 miles northwest of Eutaw.

According to al.com U.S. Geological Survey reports a small but noticeable earthquake shook parts of west Alabama Saturday afternoon.

The others happened November 20, 2014, December 17, 2014, January 22, 2015 and February 27, 2015.
