40-Year-Old Woman Sentenced To 119 Years In Prison For Sodomy And Sexual Abuse

119 years in prison is what Toni Jo Minot, 40 of Verbena was sentenced to by Bessemer Cutoff Jefferson County Circuit Judge David Hobdy. Hobdy imposed the maximum sentence of 20 years for sexual abuse and 99 years for sodomy.

Her sentences will run consecutive and because the victim was under 12 when the crimes happened she will not eligible for parole.

Minot’s husband, 56, Lyndon Minot is scheduled to sentenced by Hobdy on October 22 for his involvement in the same crime.

I can’t think of anything more hideous than sexually abusing a child. If I had my way anyone that sodomizes and violates a child sexually should get the death sentence.
