It's been a great year for me. For the New Year I took the time to write out my goals/dreams for every month in 2016. This year, I've managed to scratch off so many goals. I'm happy. I'm alive. I'm blessed. Here are 5 things I'm thankful for this year. Feel free to comment and share yours, too.

1. My ambition and drive. Growing up I was a shy girl, and I still am a little bit now. However, in order to grow and get certain opportunities, people need to see your ambition. How bad do you really want it? Everything I want, I want it more than the next person, so I'm not going to stop until I get it. This year taught me to open my mouth and ask, the worst thing you can hear is no. I'm not stopping until I get everything I've written down on my goal list.

2. My family. You come in this world with family, things may happen in between, but one things for sure, is that they are going to have your back. I'm thankful for a caring, loving, and supportive family. They brighten my day when I'm feeling down. They comfort me when I'm scared. My siblings are hilarious and they are so different from each other, but at the same time, we are all the same. Our family text group chat is so lit. I just love them so,so much.

3. My boyfriend and friends. My boyfriend is probably one of the most amazing people on this planet. He's taught me so much about finances, credit, starting a business, branding and etc. He always has my back, and gives me 'tough' love when I need it. My friends are super dope, I have about four good friends and I wouldn't change them for the world. I talk to them on the phone at least two-three times a week and we're always texting. Each of my friends has their own personalities and that's what I love about them.

4. My job. Radio has been a passion of mine for six years now. I'm at my third station now, and its so cool. My coworkers are so down to Earth, and our listeners love us so much. One of my goals for this year was to get a salaried job, and this is it. I feel so welcomed here, and I'm so, so thankful. My second job, is my Women In Radio business that I founded over the summer. I'm thankful for the creativity and patience I have that has helped me build a brand that helps women daily.

5.My mindset. I'm thankful that I changed my mindset and how I think about things in life. The mind is powerful. The way you think about yourself effects the world around you. Think higher and you'll go higher.  It's crazy, when I finally freed my mind from negativity, so many great opportunities came my way. Try saying positive affirmations to yourself daily, and watch how your life changes.
