Six suspects are in custody following an armed robbery in a grocery store parking lot, a police chase on the interstate and an overnight search using tracking dogs. It all began when two female suspects robbed a woman at gunpoint while she walked to her car in the parking lot of the Publix.

According to al.com the suspects stole the victim’s purse and fled in a gold Ford Expedition then fled north on the interstate.

The SUV stopped near mile marker 155 near Springville and the six suspects got out and fled on foot.

Four female juveniles, all between 14 and 15 years old, were taken into custody. Tracking dogs later found the two male suspects.

All six are believed to be responsible for robberies in Hueytown and Birmingham before they were caught.
