A Detroit Mother Is Charged With Murder And Torture

A Detroit mother was charged with murder and torture Wednesday in the slaying of two of her children whose bodies were found last week in a deep freezer in the family’s apartment.

Wayne County prosecutor’s office said in a news release, Mitchelle Blair, 35 is charged with two counts each of felony murder and premeditated murder and torture.

The bodies were found in a deep freezer by court officers who were carrying out an eviction on March 24.

Blair’s surviving children have been place into a relative’s care.
