For years, rumors have been circulating that Ice Cube and Chris Tucker would reunite one more time for a fourth and final Friday movie. Well, it looks like it may happen.

On Friday (April 21) - no pun intended - veteran funnyman John Witherspoon, who played Cube’s dad in the movie, appeared on an Orlando radio station and dropped some good news in the video above. Apparently, Witherspoon bumped into Cube at the airport and he told him that they are working on another Friday movie.

Witherspoon and Cube have yet to schedule a meeting to discuss further details about the movie, but he’s hopeful that it will happen soon. Witherspoon also alluded that studio executives at Warner Bros. pictures may have greenlighted the picture.

However, there’s no word if Chris Tucker will join the cast. The comedian played the iconic character "Smokey" in the movie. In past interviews, the 46-year-old actor said he wasn’t sure if he wanted to play the character again.

It's been 15 years since the last installment, Friday After Next, was released in theaters. It would be fantastic if the original director, F. Gary Gray, agreed to shoot the final Friday to close out the franchise on a high note.
