Alabama Congresswoman Sewell Won’t Attend Inauguration

Alabama Congresswoman, Terri Sewell from Birmingham, joins the list of more than 40 Democrats who will not be attending thepresidential inauguration on Friday, January 20th in Washington, D.C.

This comes days after, president-elect Donald Trump had a war of words on Twitter about political activist and congressman John Lewis personal opinion of him. Lewis as most know, was a prominent figure in the Civil Right's era. He suffered many beatings for standing up for what he believed in.

Politicians are not taking Trump's attack lightly. This adds more fuel to the fire after a very turbulent political season. Many feel that Trump should apologize immediately to Lewis. But, Sewell believes that Trump and Lewis should come together and show unity at the bridge in Selma - walking hand in hand.
