The conversation about Alabama and Texas has come up again. Not to worry, things haven't changed with Nick Saban's contract extension with UA. Instead, Forbes Magazine has released a 2013 list of what the nation's biggest college football teams are worth.

Top 3 Most Valuable College Football Teams 2013:
#1 Texas with a team value of $139 Million
#2 Notre Dame is the runner-up with a value of $117 Million
#3 Alabama Crimson Tide with an impressive team value of $110 Million

Three other SEC teams make the top 10 with LSU #4, Florida #6, and Georgia at #8.  Auburn finished just outside of the top 10 with a #11 ranking.  Further proving the best conference in college football is big business too.

Forbes explains Alabama's spot on the list:

Alabama has risen from sixth to third this year, with the Crimson Tide’s value up 15% to $110 million. It’s the first time an SEC team has cracked the top three since Georgia held the No. 3 spot in 2007. Alabama’s rise stems not only from the financial rewards of dominating on the field, where the Crimson Tide have won three of the last four BCS National Championships, but also the one-time payout it received for playing Michigan in a season-opening showdown at the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium last year.
