For the second straight year, the media has picked Alabama to win the Southeastern Conference.

Don't celebrate just yet, Bama fans. The media has a horrid track record for predicting the champion. Over the past 22 years, the SEC Media Days prediction has only been correct in four of those years. In fact, only six of those 22 picks have even made it to the SEC Championship Game.

The media has made the Crimson Tide a heavy favorite this season. Not only did they give Alabama a record-nine first team All-SEC selections, but they put the team on 154 of 293 ballots to win the conference.

Auburn finished second in voting with South Carolina picked third. Every SEC West team, except Texas A&M received a 1st place vote.
