Remember a few years ago when Alabama offered 8th-grader Dylan Moses a scholarship? If you haven't followed his high school career, it turns out Moses is one of the top 5 prospects in next year's recruiting class.

It looks like Nick Saban has identified another blue chip prospect years before he'll sign a scholarship offer. According to ESPN, Alabama extended a verbal offer to 8th-grade linebacker Jesus Machado from Hialeah (Florida) Champagnat Catholic School. Alabama assistant coach Mario Cristobal made the offer to the 6-foot, 195-pound Machado.

The report also states that he has offers from Iowa State, Michigan State, NC State, and West Virginia. With recruiting moving younger and younger, it shouldn't come as a surprise that this class of 2020 prospect already has a recruiting profile and a college prediction.

While the Crimson Tide has yet to land a player for 2020, the team did get its first 2019 verbal commitment in April and had its second earlier this month before he decommitted just nine days later. Let that serve as a reminder that a lot will change in recruiting before Alabama kicks off what would be Saban's 14th season.
