Apparently, there's a problem with motorists illegally passing school buses. So much of a problem that a law has been passed, allowing Alabama school systems to install cameras to curb the instances.

The Tuscaloosa News reports that the cameras would be installed on the stop arms of school buses. Those who run stopped buses with downed arms would be issued citations, the revenue of which would be split between local government, school systems, the Alabama State Department of Education, and the Alabama Department of Public Safety.

It might be necessary to brush up on laws concerning stopped school buses in Alabama, just to be on the safe side.
