Am I reading this right? Will Alabama’s State parks really close because the state legislature slashed the budget?  I just read that some if not all of our parks could closed if the parks didn’t receive funding for the 2016 fiscal year.

Governor Bentley signed a budget into law last week that transferred $3 million from Alabama’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. According to the budget of that $3 million, there’s a cap of $1 million that can be taken from the state parks revenue.

This make the fifth straight year revenue is being transferred from the state parks to the General Fund Budget.

I say just pass the lottery and move on.
