This Friday thru Sunday, Tuscaloosa will host the Alabama All Veterans and Family Reunion. Here's a quick rundown of what's going on!

All Alabama veterans, current service members and their families are invited to attend the weekend of celebration. The event is free with the exception of Saturday’s formal dinner.

  • Who: Sergeant Noah Galloway and Lieutenant General Willie Williams will speak at Saturday night’s ticketed formal dinner. Galloway is a veteran who has recently taken third place on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. He has also been a guest on national talk shows such as Ellen, The Today Show and Good Morning America. Williams served as the director of the Marine Corps Staff and is one of only four African-American Marines to wear the rank of three-star general. The weekend will also include performances by the GIs of Comedy, Glen Templeton and the 151st Army Band.
  • Where: The GIs of Comedy will perform at the Bama Theater on Friday, August 28th. The Veteran’s Appreciation Festival will be at the VA Hospital followed by the formal dinner at the Embassy Suites. Sunday’s events will be held at Veterans Memorial Park.
  • When: The weekend will begin with check-in on Friday, August 28th from 3-7 p.m. at the Embassy Suites. The GIs of Comedy will perform that night starting at 7 p.m. at the Bama Theater. Saturday’s events will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the Motorcycle Honor Ride. The Appreciation Festival will be from 10 a.m. -3 p.m. at the VA Hospital. The formal dinner will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday night. Sunday morning will open with a memorial service and breakfast from 8-10 a.m. and end with the Honor Walk from 10-11:15 a.m.
