The University of Alabama's performance in the 2013 SEC Outdoor Track and Field Championships was highlighted by sophomore Diondre Batson winning the men's 100 meter title.

Batson beat out Ole Miss' Isiah Young and Missouri's Markesh Woodson with a time of 10.12. The sophomore from Sacramento, California, held the fastest time in the world at one point this year with 10.06. His win in the 100 meters made him just the third Crimson Tide runner to win that race.

Batson also finished third in a deep 200 meters field, becoming the only Alabama athlete to  achieve that with a 100 meters victory. He'll head to the NCAA regionals next week with a chance to win a national title.
