Alcohol May Have Played a Role in Deadly Tuscaloosa Boating Accident
Alabama State Troopers say that alcohol may have been a factor leaving one man dead and one in serious condition after an accident on Lake Tuscaloosa Monday.
The boat's passenger, 38-year-old Scott Cooper Turner was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center with serious injuries while 63-year-old driver Robert David Reagan was pronounced dead at the scene. State Trooper Reginald King said Reagan did not have the boat emergency kill switch attached and was not wearing a life jacket.
According to reports, the incident happened on Lake Tuscaloosa near Country Club Drive and the Alabama Highway 69 North bridge.
