When Aliceville High student Willie Davis was killed in a car accident in late February, his family didn't know where they would find money to bury him.

On the advice of a student, Davis' English Teacher, Mrs. Jon Raines Marlowe set up a Go Fund Me page to help bury 17-year old.

Mrs. Marlowe wrote on the Go Fund Me page,

This would mean so much to his family, friends, and me, as his teacher searching for ways to help his precious Mom. We appreciate any donations that can be made to assist us in this final act of service that we can do for our Willie. Please help me help his family. As a mother myself, I cannot imagine facing this kind of tragedy.

She had hoped to raise a portion of the $5,300 the family needed but what she got was so much more. At the time of this article, the GoFund me page had raised over $8,100 with donations coming in a few times an hour.
