So, this is the kinda stuff you miss when you're in meetings all day.  Apparently, a glitch in the EBT card system allowed customers to purchase more food than the amounts left on their cards over the weekend.

It was noticed and severely exploited at two stores in Louisiana, but the stores continued to allow the customers to purchase all the food they wanted.  Other area stores were notified of the issue and didn't allow EBT purchases to be made.  While this seemed to be a noticed phenomenon only in Louisiana, apparently, there were 17 states affected including Alabama.

All I have to say is, Alabamians, you're slipping. SOMEBODY is supposed to have those good steaks on the low.
