As Black People Are We Better Off?

With the recent rash of shootings of unarmed black men by police I have one question?The 'Question' is one I have asked and been asked but the answer escapes me.Are we better off as black people?

Before all the progress made in the mid-60's the black community was a self sufficient one.We had our way of living.There were black businesses for any and everything a black person could want or ask for.

But that wasnt the way things would go. There was integration meant to allow black people to enjoy the liberties that until then were only for whites only. Better education, better living conditions, an overall better way of life.

If that still holds true, why are so many of our brothers being killed and NO one held accountable?With all that has transpired over the past 4-5 decades,the question still remains.

We have achieved much(the first black president) but there is still so much more to achieve. So it is up to us(those that are old enough) to teach our youth so we can continue to move forward in this world.

So the answer to the question is.....Yes and No......
