It might only be the first game of the season, but a combination of factors is making the Alabama-Florida State game one of the most coveted tickets in regular season history.

Most importantly, this game will likely feature the No. 1 versus No. 2 teams in college football, which is a rare occurrence during the regular season. In fact, the last time the top two teams in the AP poll met before the postseason was the 'Game of the Century' between Alabama and LSU in 2011.

Then there's the new stadium. Gone is the Georgia Dome and in is the larger, shinier, retracting Mercedes-Benz Stadium next door. The opportunity to be a part of the stadium's grand opening is another huge draw for fans.

All of this adds up to a ticket that will keep the vast majority of fans at home on September 2. As ESPN's Darren Rovell pointed out this week, the average ticket price for this game is nearly four times more than any other game on the opening weekend.

The get-in price on StubHub at the time of this story is $549 and that will put you near the top of the stadium in the endzone. For just $7 more, you can have a season ticket to every Alabama home game in 2017, which includes contests against Ole Miss, Tennessee, and LSU.

The prices are similar on another ticket site, Vivid Seats, where the cheapest ticket is $565 and the median price is a staggering $1,011.38.

Hopefully you've already secured your tickets for this huge matchup or else you have a good friend that will sell you his or her tickets for a reasonable price. Otherwise, you might just have to sit this one out.
