Baby Sitter Overdoses On Heroin-Six Year Old Performs CPR

A 36-year old woman who survived a heroin overdose faces drug and child endangerment charges. According to Hoover police Captain. Gregg Rector she was caring for her nephews, ages 2 and 6.

When the 6-year-old found her unconscious he attempted CPR after he couldn’t wake her up. He told the police officer he had seen CPR performed on TV.

Why would anyone leave their children with a drug addict? What would have happened if one of the boys overdosed? Who would we be blaming?

According to al.com the mother said she left the children with this lady so she could run some errands. I’m just happy it wasn’t worst.
