Most people who know me know to never order me a beer.  I don't like it.

"It's an acquired taste," they say. My question has always been how do you drink something you don't like until you do? Always seemed weird to me.  Never the less, I digress.

Within the past few weeks, I'd seen a few social media posts about Band of Brothers Brewing Co. serving beer mimosas.  So, I decided to give it a try.

I went by the brewery one evening after a long day at work. The bartender knew exactly what to serve me when I came in because I come to the business from time to time to enjoy live music (The Locked Band is THE TRUTH!) and to hang out with friends for a few minutes.  People always try to buy me drinks, and I always decline. One day I went, and I was offered a mixture of beer and pineapple juice.  It was more bearable than just beer but still nothing I'd buy for myself.

So, with the pineapple drink in mind, I had a bit of hope for the beer mimosa.  It did not disappoint.  It tasted more like a fruit juice blend with a hint of beer.  I was told that the alcohol content was something like 6.5%, which is a bit stronger than most common beers.  It didn't taste like any of the beers I'd ever had before, though.

If you like to go out with friends who drink beer but aren't a fan of beer yourself, give the beer mimosa a try.
