Ava DuVernay the director of the movie hit movie Selma has been immortalized as a Barbie Doll. Don’t get to excited the doll sold out in a matter of minutes. This happened with no advertising campaign.

The doll went on sale at 10 a.m. PST Monday December 7 on Amazon and Barbie’s microsite, thebarbiecollection.com.

Mattel announced the sale on Twitter. This is no surprise considering how big the movie was in the African-American community. If you didn’t get one I’m sure they will produce especially since this one out as fast as it did. Do we have a new collector’s item?
