Usually when people think of grilling, it's all about a man behind the grill. My brothers grill quite well. My dad likes EVERYTHING burned "charred." But when I think about grilling, it's my sister that gets the job done. She's a pretty girl and not really dainty, but the girl makes meats that are tender and seasoned to perfection.

So, today, I'd like to pay tribute to those individuals that automatically come to mind when you hear the word "grill." The State of Alabama recently held a contest recognizing the best barbecue restaurants. But we all know that the best barbecue comes from somebody we know personally.

After my sister, my personal favorites are Tuscaloosa residents Cassius Lanier and Jimmy Watts, Jr. Shout out your favorites on the grill. (So I'll know whose parties I need to be crashing.)
