Even millionaires have trouble finding the right house to buy. Jay Z and Beyonce's dream home in Los Angeles is harder to lock down than they thought.

A few weeks ago, we shared news that the power couple are moving to Los Angeles. Now TMZ reports that Bey and Jay have been unsuccessful finding a home on the West Coast so they've decided to rent instead and signed a one-year lease.

They're shelling out $150,000 a month for the 16,000 square-foot mansion, which has seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a water fall and an infinity pool. Blue Ivy's parents are renting the same house they stayed in last summer, which is located in the Holmby Hills section of L.A.

Last year, they paid $200,000 a month to rent the fancy digs. This time, the owner blessed them with a $50,00 discount since they signed a longer lease.

Hov and Bey haven't had the easiest time getting settled in the City of Angels. According to 6 ABC News, the couple gave a $70 million offer on a home but lost out to another bidder. Gwyneth Paltrow apparently suggested that the couple move to L.A. They've been buddies with the actress for several years.

"Beyoncé and Jay Z are making L.A. their permanent home based a lot on the advice of their friends," said an Us Weekly source. "The friend that really influenced them to move was Gwyneth Paltrow. Gwyneth was telling Jay and Bey about the quality of life for her kids in L.A., and really swayed Beyoncé and Jay to make the move. It's all for Blue Ivy."

Little Ms. Ivy has already been enrolled in an expensive private school on the West Coast, which means the Carters will be living in L.A. for the foreseeable future. No word yet on what they'll do with their New York City crib.
