Tupac Shakur's life and career are to be explored in the upcoming biopic All Eyez On Me, and fans are eager to see the final result. Pac's life story hits the big screen after the success of 2015s N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton, but it was 2009s Notorious that set the stage for hip-hop biopics in mainstream cinema. That movie followed the life of the late Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace, one of the biggest hip-hop artists of the 90s and 2Pac's rival. Biggie's son, C.J. Wallace, played the young Christopher in the movie; and Wallace was recently asked about the upcoming 2Pac film and his dad's place in Pac's story.

“Of course, they're going to do just like Notorious; they have the light where they showed Pac at his anger stage," Wallace said. "I really feel like they showed a bad light of Pac [in Notorious], in that regard. I feel like they could have showed a different, deeper side of Pac. And that’s what they [are] really going to do in All Eyez on Me and I can’t wait to see that side. Aside from [that]--my dad's role in the film, I hope that they show the deeper role of my dad. Hope they don’t go too much on the bad side of things."

Wallace stated that he wants the bond between the once-friendly rappers to be explored and for their legacies to be celebrated positively.

"Cause there were deep moments--and there was a lot of tension between the two but you can’t put aside all the good things that they had and the good things that happened in that era of music," he says. "They were a part of a great time and without them, there would be nothing. A lot of people were inspired by them, too. People got to look at the good in things.”

C.J. Wallace stars as Albert in Justin Tippin's coming-of-age film Kicks. The film follows teenage friends as they attempt to recover a pair of stolen Jordans. Kicks has already been generating tremendous buzz and is due for festival release in July with a wider release in September.
