Birmingham Alabama Raises Minimum Wage

I wish the people who are against minimum wage had to live on minimum wage for a month. Or even try living on the proposed increased minimum wage.

The Birmingham City Council voted to raise minimum wage Tuesday.  And as usual there’s opposition against minimum wage.

According al.com. Art Carden the Associate Professor of Economics at Samford University’s Brock School of Business doesn’t think raising Birmingham’s minimum wage is a good idea. Here’s one of his reasons why, fewer jobs, fewer hours, or both and those that would be employable at $8, $9 or $10.09 per hour unemployable. Read the article and tell me what you think.
