Bobbi Kristina Brown and her boyfriend (and quasiadopted brother) Nicholas Gordon attended the premiere of ‘Sparkle,’ Whitney Houston‘s final film.

Brown tweeted about her excitement for the event, writing to star Jordin Sparks, “@JordinSparks See you tonight mamacita ! I can’t wait . It’s gonna be tough, let’s try to #CELEBRATE.:) love you Jordan . &I thank u.:)” Sparks replied, “@REALbkBrown love you girl! Can’t wait to see you!! :) #celebrate #sparkle #whitney :) .” It’s so great to see them being so positive, because that’s likely what Aunt Nippy would have wanted.

Brown looked stunning at the red carpet premiere, sporting a sparkly black bandage dress, feather-embellished black heels, dangling necklaces, diamond earrings and plum and lavender makeup. Gordon was no slouch either, looking sharp in a suit. Despite the controversy surrounding this couple, they look really good — and, more importantly, happy — together!

Shortly before posing for photographers, she wrote, “Off to the premiere ! Glammed and all! Time to walk this carpet&rep mommy like she would want me too (: god bless u all ! nickdgordon enjoy!”

The Hollywood Reporter noted that Houston’s co-stars offered many warm words for the fallen star, but our favorite quote was courtesy of star Mike Epps. “I think that people are going to enjoy watching her perform as great as she did,” he told THR. “And with her spirit, it feels like she never left. That’s what that movie does. It gives you the hope that her spirit will live on.”

Houston’s sister-in-law, Pat Houston, also paid tribute to the late legend at the premiere ceremony. “I can assure you that Whitney is here celebrating right now,” she told the audience. After saying that Whitney would have been “very humbled” to know her family was watching, Pat paid tribute to Whitney’s mother, Cissy Houston, saying, “To my mother-in-law, you did good. She did it.”

Rest in peace, Whitney Houston. The world misses you.
