Bob’s Victory Grille in Midtown Village Closes

As the note taped to the door reads, "This location of Bob's Victory Grille will be closing its doors for the last time on Saturday, July 1st." 

Victory Grille opened in early 2011 and featured coal-fired brick oven pizzas and Paninis along side a full menu of soups, salads, classic American dishes, Po boys and more.

The reason for the sudden closing was not given but some Bama fans, along with missing the great food the restaurant once offered, may be left wondering about the future home of 'Hey Coach' and 'The Nick Saban Show' which broadcasted from the Midtown Village location each Thursday night during football season. Baumhower told the Tuscaloosa News that he plans on hosting the show at one of his two locations this fall.

If you make it over to Midtown Village anytime soon, you'll see that the long-standing corner location already has its sign down.

Supporters of Baumhower's eateries still have two locations of his restaurant in Tuscaloosa to choose from, and it looks like the original location on Harper Lee Drive is getting close to reopening after renovations.
