Brookwood High School Teacher Arrested on Sex Charges

Brookwood High School teacher Katherine Nelson, 29, was arrested Tuesday morning and is accused of engaging in a sex act with a student under the age of 19.

According to authorities, the relationship between Nelson and a male student occurred during the 2012-2013 school year.

Nelson is the second Brookwood teacher accused of having a relationship with a student since August of 2015.

She turned herself in to authorities this morning at 11:30 and was immediately released on $30,000 bond.
