It's a bye week for Bama, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun this Saturday. Bring your kids to the University of Alabama's Arboretum for a FREE and frighteningly good time!

The second annual 'ArBOOretum' is going down from 2 p.m until 5 p.m at the Arboretum (4801 Arboretum Way) in Tuscaloosa. Kids get a chance to trick-or-treat at the Arboretum and participate in some cool and interactive learning displays. Here's more from the event's Facebook page:

This year’s theme is the biological diversity of Alabama. Trick or treaters will learn about spiders, walk with experts, and collect candy on our spooky trails. Extraction of chemicals from native plants will be featured at the pavilion laboratory. Other activities include: nocturnal animal sounds (played through a computer), microscopes with water samples, and leaf collections/imprints. Visitors are asked to park at the running park/former golf course parking lot where they can walk the trail or ride a shuttle van to the Arboretum pavilion. This event is free and sponsored by the University of Alabama Department of Biological Sciences.
