WHO has post-graduation plans? All 2016 graduates of Paul W. Bryant High School!

One of the most significant times in the lives of young adults is graduation from high school. It is the beginning of life as an adult as many make preparations to leave their parents homes for the first time and attend college. The decisions to attend college and which one to attend, whether to enter the workforce or to enter an apprenticeship, or go to the military can be quite daunting. However, all of Bryant High's graduates will take part in a Commitment Ceremony at 9 a.m. today, where they will declare where they are going after high school.

Last year, 97% of Bryant graduates had made a commitment, but this year, that number is 100%.

In addition, Danica Gutierrez will declare where she is going to college. Gutierrez, who immigrated with her family from Mexico to the United States six years ago, is a Gates Millennium Scholar with more than $1.4 million in scholarship offers from such institutions as Harvard, Stanford, Cornell, Emory, and the University of Alabama!

So, this is a very exciting time for Bryant High School! And this ceremony is just one display of the commitment of the leadership, faulty, staff, students, and parents of Bryant High School.
