Today is April 25 and it is being celebrated as National Telephone Day. The purpose of celebrating the National Telephone Day is to highlight its importance of this great device and to give tribute to Alexander Graham Bell who invented this remarkable device for us.

Most of our younger generation might be very unaware of the importance of a regular landline phone since they have seen mobile phones right from their first day in this world.

As we have progressed into the future, landline phones are all but a fleeting memory to those of us that remember when all you had was landline and if someone was on the phone you got a busy signal.

For those that remember the original telephone, how many remember those old rotary dial phones?

What about pay phones?

If not for Alexander Graham Bell where would we be now?
