Out of all of my siblings, I'm probably the most crafty one. I enjoy painting, creating things, science projects, etc. I also enjoy fixing things in my home and "making old things new." Repurposing is a strong suit for me. For a while now, I've been considering making a graffiti wall using chalkboard paint.

I love the idea of using chalkboard paint to cover a wall. I imagine myself writing mantras for particular seasons in my life, maybe scribbling an item that I need to add to a grocery list, or allowing my daughter to experiment with her creativity.  Yet, some people have suggested chalkboard paint might not be a good idea.

The main complaint has come from parents who fear their children will get used to writing on my wall and without knowing the difference, they'll take to the walls in their homes with crayons or markers. Valid concern, I think.

So, now, I'm torn. What do you think? Do you like the idea of a wall being painted as a chalkboard, or do you think I should just get a chalkboard? (I REALLY want to do the wall.)
