Chris Brown came under fire on Twitter for his 2009 assault on Rihanna. It's 2012. Apparently a certain writer just got the memo about the infamous pre-Grammy bustup and picked a fight with the notoriously temperamental tweeter.

Breezy's Twitter feud was with writer Jenny Johnson, who basically trolled him -- but he was foolish and hotheaded enough to give any of it his attention. On Nov. 21, Brown posted an Instagram photo with the caption, "I look old as f---! I'm only 23..." Today (Nov. 25), Johnson saw it and replied, "I know! Being a worthless piece of s--- can really age a person." While it neither creative nor anything Brown hasn't heard before, Johnson's large Twitter following likely increased its volume, repetition and impact -- and Breezy, against his better judgment, reacted publicly.

Brown retorted with the equally unoriginal, "Take them teeth out when u s---ing my d---, h--." This led to a potty mouthed back and forth exchange between the two. Johnson corrected Brown's spelling of a misogynist term (go, girl power, go!), with Brown replying, "I should fart while ur giving me top. 'Seize the day' #CarpeDiem." Brown followed up his own tweet with one aimed at Johnson's humorist career, writing, "The funniest s--- is not giving a f---." As for his response to her editing his use of the term, he fired back, "see.. I don't even have to tell u what u already know. Thanks H-! #bushpig"

Johnson replied to the "top" tweet with, "Your mom must be so proud of you." Brown, who adores his mama but may have proven Johnson right with his reply, wrote back, "Mom says hello ... She told me not to s---- in ur mouth, wanted me to s--- right on the retina ... #pinkeye." Johnson then called Brown a "flirt" and sent him a link to a March 2009 article about the infamous assault with the hash tag "#suckit." Again, not really groundbreaking, and visibly dated, but nothing Breezy hasn't dealt with prior.

Of course, that doesn't mean Breezy could let it go that easily. He made sure to chime, "'Diaries of a thirsty b----' ... Ur life sucks so much a--." Before his exit, he posted, "Let me leave this b---- alone... It's good to know my worth by listening to a b---- that is worthless! #iwin #bushpigswag." Of course, though Johnson was trolling -- and thus "thirsty" -- for attention, Brown's misogynist language only validated Johnson's arguments in her view, however dated the events on which they were originally based may be.

As for Johnson? Her closing statement was, "Okay. I'm done. All I got from that exchange with Chris Brown is that he wants to s--- and fart on me." She also got cheap publicity and probably a couple more followers out of it. Maybe she should send Chris Brown some flowers for getting her some name recognition -- and maybe Chris should flip back through his notes from anger management and learn to roll his eyes and move along.
