Kris Kross rapper Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly, who died in Atlanta on Wednesday (May 1), reportedly got high on a mixture of cocaine and heroin the night before his death.

According to a police report obtain by TMZ, Kelly's mother, Donna Kelly Pratt, told authorities that he took what is known as a "speedball" (cocaine mixed with heroin) Tuesday night. The mother took Kelly back to his Atlanta home that night so he could recover from the drug use as she has done several times before.

On Wednesday, hours prior to his death, Kelly did his last phone interview with the Streetz Morning Grind radio show. During the interview, Kelly talked about his partying ways, which concerned the DJ.

Later in the day, according to the police report, Kelly's mother called 911 at around 3 p.m. ET requesting medical assistance. The 34-year-old rapper was discovered on the couch "unresponsive" and was rushed to Atlanta Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy was performed Thursday morning; results from toxicology tests won't be ready for several weeks.
