Chris Watson Ruins Otis Redding’s ‘(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay’ on ‘American Idol’

Chris Watson is what we're talking about when someone is being "extra". 

The added runs and ad-libs were just too damn much, and Chris just completely ruined a classic song like Otis Redding's '(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay.' The judges agreed in pointing out other redeeming qualities about him, but this performance wasn't it.

Mariah Carey tried to say this nicely to Chris when she critiqued his performance. "I was surprised by choice of song, I love that song, its a beautiful song," the 'Honey' singer said. "For me, it wasn't your best performance vocally, but certain things have overridden that in your..." she added.

Terrible song choice, horrible performance, everything was just bad about the whole thing. Combine that with poor styling choices and you knew he was going home. Not sure why dude went with the 'American Bandstand' look, because it certainly wasn't working.

We're not f---ing with that headband, fam. Leave that back in SoHo.
