It's a good thing God forgives. Ryan Anthony Salandy, a rising Christian rapper in Germantown, Md., is being charged with first degree murder after deliberately running over a man.

According to the Montgomery County Police Department and witnesses, the 22-year-old fatally hit the victim, William McDaniel, 21, with his car after a dispute over a music deal. The details of their disagreement is unknown. Afterwards, Salandy fled the scene.

The Maryland resident also admitted that he was angry and that running over McDaniel was intentional. His lawyer, however, maintains his client's innocence and claims that the confession may have been coerced by an extensive interrogation by police.

Evidence against Salandy is stacked since police officers found blood “consistent with striking a pedestrian" on the bashed-in windshield of his silver Saab Sedan, according to arresting documents obtained by WRC-TV. The Christian rapper's mother called the cops after seeing the wreckage on his car.

About 40 friends and family came out to support Salandy, who also shared that he was attending college. It seems Salandy attended a motivational seminar a few days before the incident too.

Several people have also gone on social media to express their support for the rhymer, who can be seen freestyling in a video below. "Pray for Ryan Salandy," tweeted a female supporter. While a man tweeted encouraging words inspired by a Bible verse: "No weapon that is formed against Ryan Salandy shall prosper."

This is Salandy's first charge. He's currently being held without bond.
