Ciara Nabs Fader Cover, Future Lands on The Source Cover
The hottest couple in hip-hop and R&B get some cover shine on two respected music publications. Ciara‘s lovely profile graces the cover of Fader magazine’s Summer Music issue, while her boo, Future, covers the Source’s July 2013 issue.
CiCi looks fabulous with her blonde cropped hair, white-and-black leather top and gold accessories, which accentuate her all-white fingernails.
Fader Magazine photographer Dorothy Hong shot the Atlanta songbird while stylist Mobolaji Dawodu Dawodu inspired the rock and roll glam for the shoot.
Meanwhile, Future is all futuristic for the cover of The Source. Behind a spacey backdrop, the Astronaut Kid resembles a hip-hop Obi-Wan Kenobi with his dark hoodie.
Inside, the ‘Karate Chop’ writer chats with journalist Shaheem Reid about his early grind working with his cousin, OutKast producer Rico Wade, to his current success as a proven hit-maker in the rap game.
He also gets candid about his relationship with Ciara. The Atlanta hitmaker wonders if his girlfriend’s feud with Rihanna hurt the chances of ‘Loveeeeee Song’ from becoming a hit single. “We never shot a video, we never performed it. I don’t know whether it was because of that situation or if just the time hasn’t come up,” he told MTV News.
We bet it’s the latter, but we digress.
In the meantime, Future is working on his next project, ‘Future Hendrix.’ The rapper-producer vows to continue making hits well into the future (excuse the pun).
“I feel like I’m going to be here forever,” he says. “Even without me [here], my music is gonna live forever. I love making music, there’s nothing on this earth I’d rather do. Whether putting it out through myself or working with another artist, it’s an honor and privilege to be in the music industry and I’m taking full advantage of it.”
Fader magazine’s Summer Music issue with Ciara will hit newsstands on June 25, while The Source’s issue with Future on the cover will arrive on June 18.
