Mary J. Blige didn't go home with either of the two awards she was nominated for (Best Supporting Actress and Best Original Song), but she did tear down the house with her performance of "Mighty River" from the film, Mudbound.

Introduced by Taraji P. Henson, Mary easily had the best performance of the night, even though Coco ended up taking home the Best Original Song award. The internet erupted with praise following her powerful showing, with fans rallying behind the singer, and essentially proclaiming her to be a national treasure.

Common, who was nominated again this year for Best Original Song as well for his track with Andra Day, "Stand Up for Something" from Marshall, also performed at the ceremony with Andra.. Common previously won an Oscar back in 2015 for "Glory" with John Legend from the Ava DuVernay film, Selma. He's the only rapper ever to have won an Emmy, Oscar and a Grammy, and is only one step away from EGOT status.

At this point, Andra Day is mostly known for her heal-the-earth ballads, and her showing at this year's Oscars went as expected, with her displaying her powerhouse vocals in the name of doing good. The equality anthem was performed in front of a group of 10 activists, (including union organizer Dolores Huerta and chef José Andrés, who's helped feed hurricane victims in Puerto Rico).

Miguel was also on hand to perform his Oscar-winning song from Coco, "Remember Me," although Mary's emotional showing made it pretty easy to forget everyone else who performed last night.
