Construction Worker Dies After Fall At Mercedes Plant

A construction worker working at the Mercedes Benz Plant in Vance died after falling from the roof of a building that he was working on.

According to Al.com officers were called to the plant shortly after 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.

It appears the man was working on a metal roof for the Hazmat building under construction at the plant.

He fell 25 feet, hit a concrete slab and died on the scene.

According to police the death appears to be accidental, and the man's identity is being withheld until his family is notified of his passing. Full Story
