Could Free Wifi Be Coming soon To Tuscaloosa ?

I think all of us hate when we get our monthly Cell phone Bill, and the thing that always stands out the most is the data Charges we all incur over that past month. They are constantly trying to out do each others with monthly pricing program. Should wifi and the ability to stream the web be free.

Well the city of Tuscaloosa is working on providing for its Residents on the west end nearly 8,500 Residents with Free Wifi internet connection, thanks to the city fiber optic network.

Building out the network would cost about $70,000, and city leaders said they plan on paying for it with community development block grant funds.

The city is mainly doing it for the kids who have limited internet access, if it works here the city plans on expanding it.

How about that, crazy how one day internet access could be totally free, no more of the huge data charges and schemes we get from our various wireless carriers today.
