Crime Report: One Man Dead in Tuscaloosa After Home Invasion Followed by Heart Attack

The crime in Tuscaloosa County is getting ridiculous. A 77 year old man died last night after having a heart attack following an armed robbery.

It happened around 6:30 PM in Cottondale, an elderly couple were in their home when two black men with face pain and dark clothes came inside. They were armed with a rifle and a handgun.

The man was assaulted by one of the men. The couple was taken to DCH for their injuries, and the man was pronounced dead. Police are not sure if the man died from the assault or the heart attack.

This morning, the couple's vehicle was found. Investigators are not releasing too much information at the time.
