By now, most in West Alabama have heard of Thomas Davis, the local musician who has gone on to become a favorite at New York's infamous Apollo Theater. His latest professional accomplishment includes being part of a movie!

According to the film's website, Restored Me is a comedic drama that explores the tested faith of wrongfully convicted, now ex-con Julio Velasquez. After his release from prison, he finds a second chance by joining the colorful crew of an old movie theatre. Just when he thinks his life is getting back on track, he learns that the theatre is not what it seems.
Its cast includes such names as comedian Gary Owen, Malik Yoba, and Richard T. Jones (Jill Scott's husband in Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married?"). Thomas Davis is also included in the movie's soundtrack.

A private showing of Restored Me will take place at Regal Cinemas in Trussville on July 19 at 7:30pm. College Hill Baptist Church will provide transportation to the theater, leaving from University Church of Christ at 5:30pm on the 19th of July. Tickets are $12 for adults and $9 for seniors and children and will not be sold at the theater!

The theater seats 150, BUT requires a minimum of 60 people for the showing to not cancel. To purchase tickets, click here.
