Dick Trickle (R.I.P.) But Your Parents Hated You
Making the headlines this morning is news of the apparent suicide of NASCAR driver Dick Trickle. Yes, that's his real name.
Unfortunately, over the years, I've seen the names of several deceased people with very odd names. It seems inappropriate to laugh at their names while announcing their deaths.
There are some names I will not mention, out of respect for their families. But I remember reading an obituary in Chicago for a Cooter Brown. I turned to my grandmother and said, "Lord, Cooter Brown has finally drunk himself to death!"
