Apparently, researchers have determined that some inner-city youths suffer from a condition similar to PTSD because of the issues they face in their everyday surroundings. What is this condition being called? Hood Disease.

This was discussed on the TJMS this morning.

Granted, a new name MUST be found for this "disease."  But if it is a result of one's environment, can it be said that "hood disease" is contagious?  If so, I think it would be safe to note the following as symptoms:

  • If hearing a crying baby in a store causes you to start an argument with that child's mother, you MIGHT suffer from Hood Disease.
  • If you've ever posted a picture like this on social media....

              HOOD DISEASE!!!

  • If seeing a roach does not make you squirm at all, you MIGHT suffer from Hood Disease.
  • If you've you ALWAYS thank your grandmother who prayed for you (What? Ain't NOBODY's momma praying?), you MIGHT suffer from Hood Disease.
  • If you think it's normal to just slap somebody with no questions asked, yep..... Hood Disease.

I'm sure there are other symptoms of Hood Disease. Name the ones you can think of.
