This is something that affects all of us that live in the great state of Alabama. A number of cities in Alabama have made the unflattering list of America's 30 Most Dangerous Cities.

Now I know that there are certain 'rough' areas in pretty much every town, but to make a national list, that's crazy.

The list was compiled using FBI Crime Report data to determine the number of reported violent crimes, including aggravated assault, murder, rape, robbery, as well as property crimes such as burglary, arson, larceny and motor vehicle thefts.

Alabama had 4 cities to make the list, Selma at #8; Anniston #15; Jasper #29; and Gadsden #30.

Alabama did not however have the most cities on the list, our neighbor Georgia had the most cities on the list with 5.
