Does Anybody Know Why We Have Daylight-Saving Time

Do you know why we have Daylight-Saving Time?  I didn’t until I researched it today. After over hearing a couple talking about it this morning, it really sparked my curiosity so I decided to find the official answer.

I remember when President Johnson signed DST into law, but I never knew why, and quite frankly I never really cared.
